bellum is a calm health companion that connects to your wearables and checks in with you by text and voice. bellum is operated by Jeani, Inc. (“bellum,” “we,” “us”). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions: stuart@jeanihealth.com.

Information we collect

Account details. Your name, phone number, and the goals you share during onboarding.
Health & wearable data. When you connect a source (such as Jeani, Oura, WHOOP, Fitbit, or Google Health), we access the metrics and biometrics you authorize — for example sleep, activity, recovery, heart rate, and profile details like age, biological sex, height, and weight.
Conversations. The content of your text and voice interactions with bellum, including transcripts, so bellum can respond and remember context.
Usage data. Basic technical and diagnostic information needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use your information

To provide the service — answering your questions, checking in on the schedule you choose, and tailoring guidance to your goals.
To maintain, secure, and improve bellum.
To communicate with you about your account.

We do not sell your personal information.

Connected sources

You choose which sources to connect, and you can disconnect any of them at any time, which stops future access. We request only the data needed to provide the service. Your use of each source remains subject to that provider’s own terms and privacy policy.

Service providers

We share data with vendors who process it on our behalf solely to operate bellum, under confidentiality obligations — including messaging, telephony, voice and language AI, database hosting, and application hosting. They may not use your data for their own purposes.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, then delete or de-identify it when it is no longer needed, subject to legal requirements.

Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and least-privilege practices. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to safeguard your information.

Your choices

Access, correct, or delete your information.
Disconnect any data source.
Change how often bellum checks in, or stop check-ins entirely.
Close your account.

bellum handles sensitive health information with care. bellum supports your wellbeing but is not a medical provider and does not provide medical advice or diagnosis.

Children

bellum is intended for adults 18 and older and is not directed to children.

Changes

We may update this policy and will revise the date above. We will communicate material changes where appropriate.
